This role is based in Farnborough, Hampshire with 2 days per week in the office. Our office is within walking distance of the train station and has free parking. This is a full-time position, however work life balance is important to us and so we are open to discussion on flexible working patterns (minimum 4 days per week).
Salary: £25,000 - £26,000 + bonus
About the role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Product Team where you’ll work closely with the Product Manager and Senior Product Executive to shape and deliver an inspiring programme of walking holidays that align with our company ethos and support profitable growth. You’ll be the expert in Austria, Switzerland and Slovenia and work closely with departments throughout the business in a varied and fast-paced role where you’ll be expected to think creatively and analytically to ensure the success of our walking holiday programme.
- Working in the Austria, Switzerland and Slovenia walking holiday product team.
- Writing exciting and accurate content for the website and brochure.
- Proof-reading content to ensure accuracy.
- Maintaining the website by updating content and images when needed and ensuring hotels and resorts are advertised accurately.
- Create support and training documents for internal users.
- Ensuring hotel, activity, and extras contracts are processed correctly and on time.
- Working closely with our overseas teams, trading, loading, reservations, operations, guest relations, and marketing departments to help with any questions and product recommendations.
- Building and maintaining relationships with overseas suppliers including hotels, destination management companies, and tourist boards.
- Assisting with over-bookings, hotel and resort changes, or incorrect brochure/website information to resolve any customer issues.
- Maintaining internal systems to ensure the product is on sale and inventory is correctly loaded.
- Assist with trading meetings and commercial analysis of hotels and resorts, requesting extra beds where necessary and ensuring the product is competitively priced.
- Assist with competitor analysis.
- Travelling overseas when necessary to visit hotels and resort teams.
- Occasionally represent the company at trade events.
Am I the right person? We are looking for your application to demonstrate:
- A good knowledge of Austria, Switzerland and/or Slovenia is essential.
- A passion for travel and walking is essential.
- Excellent written English, communication & copy-writing skills, and a good understanding writing for websites and SEO.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Ability to think analytically and proven problem solving skills.
- Confident team player with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.
- Good communication skills along with the ability to effectively cooperate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment with tight deadlines.
- Good skills in Microsoft Office programmes including Excel.
- German, French, Italian or Slovenian language is desirable.
